Mars

Pittsburgh is an affordable city that offers the amenities of a megalopolis with added stability. With an average home price of 116,400 (the national average is $171,700) and a cost of living that is 12.2% below the U.S. average, Pittsburgh is an attractive city for many looking to relocate.

Mars is located in southern Butler County about halfway between the cities of Pittsburgh and Butler. This fast-growing, smaller community is nestled in a small valley area along Breakneck Creek and route 228 bypasses the borough to the south to Pennsylvania Route 8 and west about 8 miles to I79 and I76 in Cranberry Township.

Services, shopping, entertainment and good restaurants can be found in the close-neighboring communities of Seven Fields, Cranberry Twp and Wexford. The Mars Area School District serves the boroughs of Mars and Valencia, as well as Adams Township and Middlesex Township in Butler County.
